Overview
The Demographics domain provides the most granular population data available for Lebanon. It covers population distribution by region, age, and household type; migration flows in and out of Lebanon; diaspora size estimates by destination country; and urban/rural distribution trends. Data is available at the governorate and district level.
What's Included
Methodology
Population data draws on the 2022 UNHCR-supported population assessment, Ministry of Interior civil registry records, and IOM migration tracking data. Diaspora estimates are compiled from destination country census data and remittance flow analysis. Berix applies a documented adjustment methodology to account for Lebanon's lack of an official national census since 1932.
